Alexis Bouthier is a junior professor at Paris-Sorbonne University; he obtained a joint PhD from Paris-Saclay and the University of Chicago under the supervision of Gérard Laumon and Fields medalist Bao Chau Ngo. He is a world-renowned specialist in number theory and algebraic geometry, having traveled extensively to present his research at numerous conferences around the world.
